Zitiertechnik festlegen
Es gibt unterschiedliche Zitiertechniken. In unterschiedlichen Wissenschaftsgebieten werden unterschiedliche bevorzug. Die Ausführung der einzelnen Zitiertechniken werden zum Teil unterschiedlich interpretiert. Generell sollte deshalb die Maßgabe des wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens als Maßstab angesetzt werden: nachvollziehbar und wiederholbar. Außerdem sollte konsequent darauf geachtet werden, dass die eigenen Erkenntnisse deutlich getrennt von den fremden Erkenntnissen kenntlich gemacht sind. In jedem Falle empfiehlt es sich, die Zitiertechnik und Ausführung mit den Prüfern abzustimmen.
Die gewählte Zitiertechnik mit Kurzbeleg im Text und Vollbeleg im Literaturverzeichnis sollte konsequent ohne Varianz angewendet werden. Dabei helfen Textverarbeitungsprogramme. Wie auch schon beim Quellen organisieren kann auch die Zitiertechnik gewählt und damit relative einfach korrekt und konsequent angewendet werden.
Häufige Zitiertechniken sind:
- Harvard
- Chicago Variante 1 und 2
- IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers)
Diese sind hier prinzipiell dargestellt. Die aktuellen Feinheiten der jeweiligen Zitiertechnik können in entsprechenden Regelwerken nachgeschlagen werden.
Es gibt Quellen, die den Qualitätskriterien weiter vorn entsprechen, deren dauerhafte Verfügbarkeit (Zitierfähigkeit) über sogenannte DOI (Digital Object Indentifier) sichergestellt sind. In diesem Falle würde das DOI im Vollbeleg mit aufgeführt werden.

Defining citation techniques
There are different citation techniques. Different ones are preferred in different scientific fields. The execution of the individual citation techniques is sometimes interpreted differently. In general, the standard of scientific work should therefore be used as a benchmark: comprehensible and repeatable. In addition, consistent care should be taken to ensure that your own findings are clearly identified as separate from those of others. In any case, it is advisable to coordinate the citation technique and execution with the examiners.
The selected citation technique with a short reference in the text and a full reference in the bibliography should be applied consistently without variation. Word processing programs help with this. As with organizing sources, the citation technique can also be selected and thus applied correctly and consistently relatively easily.

These are shown here in principle. The current details of the respective citation technique can be looked up in the relevant regulations.
There are sources that meet the quality criteria above and whose permanent availability (ability to cite) is ensured by so-called DOI (Digital Object Identifier). In this case, the DOI would be included in the full reference.
