Beim Austausch von Information (=Kommunikation) laufen nach Watzlawick 2011 nur gut 10% über den reinen Sachinhalt der Information. Ein großer Teil läuft nonverbal über die Stimme/den Klang des Gesagten und die begleitende Mimik und Gestik. Für das Wahrnehmen von Unterbrechungen bedeutet dies, eben auch auf den Klang oder das Gesehene zu achten, um überhaupt die Unterbrechung wahr zu nehmen.
Deshalb ist in diesem Schritt das größte Risiko, die Unterbrechung gar nicht erst wahr zunehmen.

According to Watzlawick (2011), when information is exchanged (i.e. communication), only around 10% relates to the actual content of the information. A large proportion is conveyed non-verbally through the voice/tone of what is said and the accompanying facial expressions and gestures. When it comes to perceiving interruptions, this means paying attention to the tone or what is seen in order to notice the interruption at all.
That is why the greatest risk in this step is failing to notice the interruption in the first place.
